Hot and cool -- that's how the 2014 Emmys ran Monday night, with icy hues and fiery shades dominating the star-studded scene.

Flaming red was so prevalent that Claire Danes said she was "glad to be part of the red posse," wearing Givenchy with inset lace and dramatic jeweled neckline.
